Why should they deserve it? They haven’t done anything for the community like they said they would, The trees and landscaping are gone. In fact I don’t even know if they are still living there, it looks deserted. Is a beautiful hous.

I often watch these …
I often watch these home makeovers on the Toob, and I’ve always wondered what would happen no w that their new home, has probably tripled in Value, Would they be able to afford their new, and higher tax valuation? Would they have to sell their house, to pay for their back taxes, that would accrue over the coming year? Would they Re-Finance their home, and get cash out, to continue to pay their higher taxes? Would they eventually have to sell their house because it became too expensive?

Did you know that their has been research done,where they take samples from different areas of a typical house(Sinks,Bath tubs,Showers and so on)and they found that the cleanest area was in fact the toilet.weird eh,they figures its because of the regular water circulation,and also because most people clean them regularly.But I do agree with
TheIrishCowgirl,even if it is one of the cleanest spots in a house, the chemical residue cant be good for your furry best friend.

Well, naturally I am hesitant to argue with someone who has so eloquent and civil a response. But alas, I must call to your attention that no matter how often “ppl” change out the water in an actual toilet, it still breeds bacteria.
I realize that the designer intended these toilets only for the dog’s use, but I felt I should make this distinction in case somebody thought that letting a dog drink from a serviced toilet is a good idea. I’m sorry if that offended “u.”

It’s a breeding ground for bacteria because people and sh*t in it. When ppl don’t do that and u regularly change out the water, bacteria won’t grow. Duh.

It should be said …
It should be said that you should in fact NOT let your dog drink out of the toilet bowl. It’s a breeding ground for bacteria. My dog used to sneak drinks of water out of the toilet, and she contracted a bacterial infection that shut down her kidneys and nearly killed her.
So while I’m sure the designer had the best of intentions, PLEASE DO NOT let your own dog drink from the toilet.

There’s only one thing wrong with the animal’s room: those toilets! Yeah, it’s a cute idea for the show, but that family is trying to rescue pets and place them with other families. And those dogs are going to be thinking that drinking out of the toilet is OK. I am thinking that the families that adopt them are not going to be happy about having to break them of THAT bad habit!!!

when the the house is rebuilt, it is worth much more money than the existing mortgage, so they can afford to re-finance it, they still pay a mortgage, but with the amount of “equity” (how much the house is worth, compared to how much they pay for it)is significant enough that they can afford it.
