Elder Gloria Brown yearned for the betterment of her children, her community and herself. She worked hard to move her family of four out of the projects and, in time, she became a proud homeowner. Just as her life seemed to assemble, tragedy struck the family not once, but thrice. First, a flood devastated their home. Then it was destroyed by a fire. The fire was caused by kids throwing firecrackers that nearly destroyed the majority of the house. As if that tragedy were not enough, following the fire their home was repeatedly robbed and stripped of everything that was left. Despite these tragedies, Gloria is committed to making her community a better place. Her family is the heart of the community and neighborhood, and they deserve the help which is coming to them.

If u watch carefully each episode till the end then you’ll see that apart from the houses, the show’s team also offers jobs or big amounts to help these people start from zero.I have seen then at least 10 times recently, giving jobs and amounts up to 100.000 USD.So i guess if these poor people do a logical managing to these amounts or try to keep these jobs then nothing can send them back to where they were before taking the houses.Greeks say that God helps you but you gotta help yourself first!

do you honestly believe that???i dont think that these guys will go on making dreams come true when the show starts to have lower ratings..i like the idea of helping others…but these guys wouldnt help them if they hadnt had profit!!!those houses are to good to be owned by poor families…it will be too difficult to maintain!!!id be more pleased if they were given houses that appealed to their needs…but they were given simple houses there would be no show…
